today i bought a crochet book. i'm gonna learn to do it, although, i kind of don't want to. i'd rather knit. but... i said i'd learn, and learn i shall. i'd like to make that dream a reality (the dream that made me think i knew how to crochet when i woke up in the morning). i figure, what the hey.... i have no reason not to!
i've found that sometimes it changes my day to be told by someone other than myself that "it's going to be ok". so i've decided to remind people of that at random. because it is you know, even if it doesn't feel that way. (ok, now it's your turn to tell me....)
i burnt my tongue at lunch really badly. it still smarts.
i get by with a little help from my friends.

I think you will enjoy crochet in that it's SO much faster to complete a project. But knitting will always be your first love!
hxi think part of my reluctance is that i haven't found anything kick-ass that i want to crochet. meanwhile there are several knitting projects i'm excited about. for now, i'm just going to make a belt and some coasters. but i'm going to learn now so that when i DO come across that awesome crochet pattern i'll be able to do it. it'll be a good skill to have, similar to being able to drive standard even if you have an automatic car :)
