all it takes is some good dancy music and a little bit of adrenaline to put me on the top of the world.
last night i felt like putting on my old wood earrings. i'd lost one of the sticks in my shag carpet over a year ago, and since then i couldn't find to replace it. however, i took a second look and found one! i'm pleased because i LOVE these earrings, there's just something so awesome and funky about them.
i'm not exactly sure what i'm going to do. but i want to do something. i think it's a lot harder than i anticipated all those years ago. although, i don't think that would have changed my mind. at least i hope not. am i strong enough for the task ahead? we'll see in time, until then i like to think that i am, because i haven't got a choice.
you can't always get what you want,
but if you try sometimes you might find

I love wood earrings, too. Unfortunately, I can't wear mine. They infect my ears dreadfully. Not just the holes, but any skin they come in contact with, even if it's just for a minute. OUCH!
wow! that's crazy! i have three pairs of wood earrings. let's call them small, medium and large. small has never given me trouble, medium started to give me trouble the last time i tried to wear them (which is odd since i wore them for about a year or more with no problems), large gave me trouble from day one. i peroxided them and it seemed to help, but not permanently. so i'm really glad that these ones (small) are still ok, because i love them.
p.s. i'm really glad to have you back in town. i know that's silly because i haven't seen you or anything, i just missed having you there on sunday, so i'm glad you're home again :)
i have only one pair of wood earrings (inspired by yours!) and so far they are treating me fine. yay! i just started wearing them last week.
i would like to have wood earrings... but the one pair i tried hurt the sides of my neck when i would lay down.... and i don't like to take earrings out (or jewelry off) at night. call me lazy, i can take it.

wood earrings are definitely jabbey. i've found it helpful to clip the wood on the back side of the ear so they don't poke into your neck. however, like you, i don't (at least didn't) like to take out my earrings at night. and as a result, my piercings got really badly infected. i learned "wood is not the same as silver, you can't wear them 24/7". SO even though i'd found a way to sleep without them digging into me, i had to get used to taking them out at night.
