well i personally had a fun time at my open house. i was delighted in who came, but disappointed in who missed out. thanks rach, jason, dawna and melissa who came and shared in celebrating my new home. oh, rach and jace... astrid and muirgen left their hats here. i'll drop them by this week.
well after everyone left, melissa and i took some photos. i figure that i might as well post them on my flickr account because if looking at photos fulfills your interest in seeing my place then you probably would never have come anyways. here's a link to your virtual tour.
this evening i got my dad set up with his very first email address. that was pretty funny and it makes me smile at the thought. years ago when i was living in toronto, i'd thought of getting him set up with one, but then moved home and there was no point. but he mentioned it himself tonight, so i happily helped him out.
living on york street is turning out to be very entertaining. today there was a circus going on at the memorial centre and we saw elephants walking through the parking lot all in a row, literary attached tail to trunk. it was soooo cute. totally awesome.

It was great to see your place (and you, too, of course!) this afternoon. I like how you've set it up. I'm kind of jealous. I've never ever lived all by myself. I kind of regret it.
It was cool to meet some of your family, too. I always feel like I know people in a different way once I've met their family. Siblings and parents kind of shed a different light on who people are.
thanks for having us, les! i too loved seeing your place; you've done a great job with it. i echo rachel's sentiments and would have loved to have had a pad as cool as the maxi when i was your age (ooh, i'm beginning to sound old!) you certainly know kids, les - colby loved the cheesies.
colby enjoyed seeing your girls, too, rach and jase. i love that he knows them and has opened up so much to all of you.

ya, you're both right, i should really cherish this time in my place because it may be a once in a life-time experience. i may someday have a house full of kids myself and wish i had fully appreciated the freedom i have right now.
elephants! That is so cool! My racoon (as much as I love him) pales in comparison.

alison - i'm glad you like the red!! ya, you totally need to come by again, so much has changed since last time you were here! i know you're super busy, oh congrats on graduating by the way. when things settle we'll have to get together :)
