dickey-dee

this evening FLEW by. i wish it could last another 4 hours. i didn't nearly get done everything i'd wanted to, although, i did enjoy everything i did.

i have this problem where i could eat zucchini infinitely. part of me thinks i should just go chop up a dozen zucchinis, fry them up and eat them until i'm completely full. i wonder if it would end there....

are good actions canceled out by bad motives? i like to check my motives, and honestly they're not always good. but most of the time i conclude doing this deed is good and valuable regardless of my attitude or motive behind it. usually my heart catches up with the rest of me.

at times it feels like i'm standing still while the world spins around me, instead of the other way around. i'm stationary. everything else is shape-shifting.

it's upsetting when my predictions come true. i'd rather be happy than right.

didn't have all that much to say.

are motive and intentions the same thing? because, you know what they say about intentions, right?

the road to hell is paved with good intentions?

no, i think intentions are something you plan to do but sometimes don't get around to doing it.

well, let's say you donate money towards a cause because you like a boy (let's say thomas in your case) who's involved with it. is that bad? because really, ultimately you're still funding a good cause, and they are benefiting regardless of the reasons. AND he's never going to find out, so it's not like you'd be using it as a foot in the door. this is hypothetical, obviously.

it's not bad to do a good thing because of somebody else!!! are you kidding me? a good thing is a good thing; what's wrong with a little fun inspiration? i don't always feed my dogs because i luff them so darn much. sometimes i feed them because it's the only way they'll stop harassing me.

doing the right thing for the right reasons all the time is pretentious i think, because it's false. nobody is that perfect and you'd hate them if they were.

that's true beck. and like i said, usually my heart catches up with the rest of me, and i'm glad for doing the good deed in the end. like i'm sure you're glad you fed your dog and they aren't starving to death. am i right?

If we all waited to do good things until our motives were 100% sparkling clear, very few good things would ever get done. So I agree, Les - a good deed is a good deed, regardless of motives.

it's true. and in a way saying "my motives aren't right" is an easy excuse out of doing something good and helpful. it's a poor excuse.
